I am really sorry for what you are going through. Let me tell you my mom's story:
She was diagnosed with stomach cancer stage IV August 15, 2008 (no metastasis anywhere), had a complete gasterectomy August 30th and did not have any chemo or radiation. In November her CT scans came out clean, and she was doing well. In January of 2009 she started having some bile reflux and was vomiting "foam" like saliva. She was taking Ensure all this time to complement her meals, but at this point she was not eating that much because of the nausea sensations. She was taken to the hospital and was rehydrated. I asked her doctor and he recommended another CT scan as he though her cancer was back because of her symptoms. She also had a blockage (started getting constipated). The results did not show tumors, but showed some liquid, some obstruction and her pancreas a bit swallen. At this point the doctor confirmed that her cancer was back (even though the CT scan did not clearly showed) - he said there was a 2% change of it being scar tissue, so we went ahead and had a laprascopic surgery for our last hope. Her surgery was January 30, 2009 and indeed her intestines were stuck to her abdominal wall because of the cancer and there was nothing else to be done but to wait.
My mom passed away March 2, 2009 at home with all of us around her and in a very peaceful way. Amazingly she never had pain, all she had was reflux/vomiting her last 2 weeks. Her last 2 1/2 days she did not vomit at all. She did have constipation, so we started out with glycerin supositories, and when those didn't work out we started with enemas every other day. He nausea medicine was also through a cream applied to her arms because she would not tolerate any medicine by mouth. But, besides just being uncomfortable, she did not have pain and was lucid to the last minute.
I wish you luck and strength - just keep your faith in God, he is the only one that can help get through this.
