Experimental drugs

Hi, I am very new to this forum. In Febuary of this year I learned I had cancer on the Kidney size of grapefruit. I had complaint for few years of problems with side and back yet they kept saying infection of the bladder.

They could not save left kidney and it was removed on march 11 this year. I had smoked for 16years and pretty sure it was major cause.

I was asked to be in experimental programs at shands hospital in Florida, new drugs they have approved by fda but not on market of course.

Has anyone been on such program or have knowledge of these programs?

At this point I am not sure what to do everything is so overwhelming and I am still going through the emotions, my husband doesn't seem to understand what I am feeling and I feel so alone at this point

Thank you

You must check into nexavar before it shows up somewhere else in your body.Smoking is not the leading cause of this disease, but try to quit.I'm 45 and got it from family genes.let us know how your doing.

Nexavar was approved for advanced kidney cancer and inhibits the growth of kidney tumors. You can find all you need to know on the nexavar website.I thought you might want to get a head start on this disease and nexavar has helped me have clean scans so far.My first tumor was on the kidney and the secound one spread to my adrenal gland and i had that removed last april.I was only 40 when i got this cancer and had an uncle who dies from it cause not many options were open too him four years ago.Just read up on the medication and see what u think!Keep positive.
