Nancy B -

I am in radiation now. I have 5 small spot tatoos that help them line me up for each treatment so I am in the exact position each time. Your sister-in-law may have something very similar. They just put me in position and tell me to lay still.

Hi - my husband just finished 37 tomotheraphy treatments.  He has SCC Stage IV throat - he has a mask.  As a matter of fact, he had to have 3 different ones made.  As his neck swelled from treatment the first one didn't fit and they made another.  Then toward the end, he had lost so much weight, he needed another one.  Wishing your family member good luck.  God Bless You on your continued good health.

Nancyb,

I had tattoos on my body as well as a form that I had to lay in so I wouldn't move while I had radiation.  Maybe it depends on where the cancer is and where you have the radiation.
