Rare ovarian cancer

Hi,  I decided to get a second opinion about my ovarian cancer.  I'm going to the Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh.  It is affiliated with UPMC where I have already gone.  I hope they give me a better answer.  I just did another Cancer marker test and it came back normal.  I wonder what is going on. My cat scan showed three leisons so the doctor wants to start chem on Thurs.  My appointment for the 2nd opinion is on Tues.  I would like to have a pet scan to see if it shows anything.  Thanks for listening.

Hi Ann,

I had second and third opinions and was very satisfied. Sloan Kettering NYC and Fox Chase Philadelphia. Is your CA 125 normal, thats what I think you meant by your cancer marker. I know some women whose ca125 's are normal but show evidence of disease. Everyone is different. I'm a stage 3c and have been fighting this non stop since last April.Never give up. Keep a positive attitude. Come back and let us know how you make out and good luck!
