RE: pancratic cancer

I'm so sorry to hear of your experience. My Dad is currently at Methodist after having the whipple with a grafted vein from his neck to repair the portal vein and it was performed just yesterday by Dr. Craig Fischer. Dr. Fischer also performed a whipple on my Mom this past November. My parents both had a tumor in the head of his pancreas within 6 months of each other. We feel so very blessed to have Dr. Fischer as their Dr. as well as having the wonderful Methodist hospital available to them.God bless and if anyone can help your husband it is Dr. Fischer and his team.We might run into each other at the hospital!

pancratic cancer

Do not use "Dr Yao" in Philladellphia who claims he does the "mini whipple procedure at Jefferson Hospital. We are from Houston and were already worked up to use "Dr Craig Fischer" at Methodist Hospital when my husbands 30 yr old son talked him into using an "internete physician" who claimed he was the top in Prinston university, trained at John Hopkins and had done the most of these procedures. Bragged that his mortality rate was under 2%. Does not say whether it was after surgery or 1 day after with regard to his results. I can tell you that we were already set up for chemo first in Houston by Dr Fischer to shrink the tumor in order to operate and take out on the minimal required and then the day before Dr Yao had an oppening on his schedule out of now where. All I can say is that We have spent so much money on fraud and my husband had to he hospitalized when when we landed in Houston. Dr Fishcher was kind and compassionate to take my husband back after Dr Yao's surgery. It has beem the worst experience of his life and mine and still is. He lost 60 lbs in 2 weeks after the surgery Dr Yao did. Dr Fischer has done his best to try to save Marvin. I am a nurse in the Houston medical center and I tried to talk Marvin into using Dr Fischer. He is doing very poorly. Dr Yao did what I would call the "Maxi whipple" he took out the head of his pancreas, part of his stomach, gall bladder, resected tubules, took some liver samples and worst claimed he could get all of the tumor on the pancreas to which he did not. We now face chemo/radiation for what he left along with what he did not get in the lymph nodes.I am watching my husband decline everyday due to Dr Yaos "lies". It is unforntunately people see doctors as "Gods". I can truly tell you that one day Dr Yao will answer for what he has done. I dont know how he sleeps as night. I Know that someday he will die also. I am sad that he made my husbands last days so horribly painful and bad. He has changed by brilliant man into a struggling human. God forgive him. He will never practice law again. Sincerley, Stella Rader
