My dad was just diagnosed with Waldenstrom's anemia and is about to begin treatment on Friday with Rituxan.  I have done some reading and as the treatment gets closer I am starting to have panic attacks over this treatment.  I have read such great things bout this drug, however, the side effects sound horrible and I fear for my Dad.

Hi Surfsup,

How are you doing lately?  I kow that can be a loaded question, but I really hope the pain has let up.

I have been having strong pain all day today, but I had to write to you before I retire for the night.

I have decided not to get rituxan anymore.  I went to my urologist, after reading the report from my oncologist, he turned around and said he was sorry that things are so bad. He said he hoped I was close to God and I told him I was.  Then he said I will be going to a better place.

Well, with that information, I have arranged for a cat to be rescued from the local shelter, people say someone with an animal usually lives longer..

See You Later

Rita
