radiation burns

I have lung cancer, and had radiation treatments 25, The radiation was done on my back and on my breast.  About 2 wks after treatment, I started to blister.  I saw the radiologist and he gave me a perscription of silver sulfadiazine, and also to use Domboro soaks.  I do this 3 times a day.I put gauze pads on the breast, the back is left uncovered.  They are about 3 inches square.  I would like to know if anyone can telll me how long it takes for this to heal?????  What else has anyone used to clear this up?

Hi - Lindiskin.com  is a wonderful website.  We ordered the compresses and they helped greatly.  It took about three weeks after treatment ended before the outer skin healed.  Good luck and God Bless you.
