Arimidex

I had to come off of Arimidex due to severe mood swings. I also had hot flushes too. I had only been on the Arimedix for 14 days and I noticed my body took a quick different direction. My mood swings were all over the place. I was feeling low and depressed more than feeling good. I did talk with my doctor and ended up in behavioral health for advise on the Arimidex. I was later told due to the mood swings that Arimidex was causing to start taking an anti-depressant / anxiety drug to ease the side effects. I had a great problem with this. A drug prescribed on top of another drug due to its side effects.  That is not what I wanted to do. After further consultation, I decided to stop the drug.  Now I am going through withdrawl symptoms which are not pleasure at all.  I read that it will take a while for the drug to come out of the body due to its half life period of 50 hours. I also read that it will be about 10 days for the estrogen to start coming back into the body. I feel at this point, I am going to get a test on my estrogen and progestrone levels  to see what is happening when my hormones levels change. There is something definitely going on with the hormones. I am seriously thinking of alternative medicines to decrease the estrogen and level my system off.  Please share experiences or thoughts.
