I did find out that my doctor wanted me to wait a month before a new pet scan. It has been almost a month now.I had 22 treatment of radiation and didn't really have any side effects until the last week. I was nauseated and tired but I had also been through a blood stemcell transplant in March which was a month long process which didn't work as my tumor was growing before they gave it to me and you have to be cancer free for it to work.Make sure you do your own research too. A lot of doctors won't tell you the latest treatment if their office or hospital doesn't do it. There is a type of radiation called cyperknife which is suppose to be a lot more exact and shorter in duration but so many hospitals don't have it, as it is a very expensive machine. I know a couple of hospitals and the Cancer Center of America has it in Tulsa, OK.I couldn't have it because my tumor was too large. I have the aggressive type of NHL.Good luck on your treatment and hopefully since they got yours earlier, it will be easier to treat.
