On May 4, 2009, my father was sent to the ER because he was hallucinating, discovered that his ammonia content in his body were too high. He was later diagnosed with angiosarcoma of the liver that day.
On May 13, 2009, we visited a specialist to review the certainty, stage and possible treatment options of the cancer. It was certain in stage IV, with only two possible treatment options available. The first treatment option was chemotherapy but with a liver and kidney failure, his body would be unable to process and elminate the drugs properly, so it would only become poison to him. His second treatment option was radiation therapy, but the doctor suggested that any radiation on the failed liver would be too harmful to him.
Our only option during that point was hospice care. Please help him.. there must be something out there, I'm begging for an answer.
