casodex discontinued

My Urlogist told me when my PSA started rising ( after failed lupron treatment) that he had no more options for me. The PSA rise was to soon and to fast. He recommended I see an oncologist, I did and that doctor did another scan which could not detect any cancer. So I am currently not taking any recommended treatment from any conventional doctor. The Urologist and Oncologist both said that continuing Casodix was useless.

Since I have a history of VERY bad reactions to medications I have stopped the casodix but can't help wondering if it is the right course??

I do have a couple of very good alternative medicine docs  with homopathy and vitamin, health foods etc.

Even in a general way, it is not possible for anyone to provide any  logical reply as you have not provided any details of your diagnosis or situation.

hi douglas anthony I read you post when your saying you have a history of VERY bad reactions to medications you have stopped the casodix but can't help wondering if it is the right course it is the right cause and I tell you why Im on holistic alternative treatment to. A while a go I added red clover this contains the four Isoflavones biochanin,, genistein, formononetin, and daidzein, they can be found in a lot of foods but more in red clover and Soy beans. The Isoflavones works by taking the place of the Sex hormone on the prostrate cancer receptor blocking them this stops the cancer cell from getting testosterone where hormone therapy casodix blocks the whole body from getting the Sex hormones the Isoflavones in soy and red clover mostly work on the prostrate cancer this works better then hormone therapy as it all most impossible for the cancer to get used to it this is working on my prostate cancer now as I found my PSA been falling a couple of points every three months it a bit slow but it working well I just buy 40mg red clover tablets I go through four 40mg tablets of red clover tablets a day. Two in the morning and two at night that 120mg a day all the best Ray http://www.isoflavones.info/isoflavones-abstracts.php?articl

Hi douglas anthony your cause is the right course the only thing I add to it is what Im also on the Dr Budwig ante-cancer  diet http://www.cancertutor.com/Cancer/Budwig.html   I want to add to the last post I sent you when I first found out I had prostrate cancer a naturopath put me on to high doses of  Vitamin and mineral supplements like vitamin  C, Zinc, Selenium, and a three month cause of Zeolitte. In 2007 I also had bone mets. The bone mets are  gone now, and  the only treatment  Iv had is the Zeolitte and the high dose supplements. like the ones you on

I was on them for three years and still am.  high dose vitamin C 6g a day. Now 10g a day  The Zinc I was on 40mg a day The safe dose is 15mg for a man 12mg  for a woman  and with Selenium the maximum dose is  400 micrograms a day I was and still am on 2,000 micrograms of Selenium a day the supplements your on is a good idea as they will stop  PSA going up cheers Ray

I would go to Dr. Myers web site and order his book,ASAP " beating prostate cancer". He is an oncologist and much more w/ a prostate cancer clinic in VA. He is also a PC survivor.I wish I found him years ago,my dad probably wouldn't be in the situation he's in now.
