My husband has Stage IV RCC with mets to one lung. He has been on Torisel 25mg weekly for about 8 weeks now. He had to quit work as he is out of breath and his RBC is 3.64 and his HGB is 10.6. He could not take a chemo treatment last week as the side effects of this have been so bad.  His only Kidney left is not working as good as it should be.

His face is swollen and his pulse is running 115 or higher. I have called the Doctor and he did a EKG on him to check his heart but we have not heard back from them. They also did a cat -scan on his lung to check for blood clots but did not see any. They could not do a cat-scan with the iodine as his kidney is not functioning good.

He also gets the hiccups when ever he eats of drinks anything and has to take medicine for that and it makes him sleep. We go back to the Cancer Dr this thursday to do another CBC to see if he can have another treatment. Has anyone have any advice on this. I am worried that he will develop a blood clot as he is not moving very much and his kidney shutting down.

The cancer center we go to is so busy with people that you have to call back to get your test results and etc. I don' t feel like my husband is getting all the help he needs and it might just be me wanting to fix everything and I am dealing with I can't fix everything but I want the best treatment out there for my husband.

We went to MD Anderson a year ago and I have called them and sent a email to see if they would see him again. I hate this cancer and I am just tired as we are in 3 years of this now.

Thanks for listening and I am thankful for this website it has been a real blessing to me and I have learned many things.

We are living on prayers right now.

God Bless

Dear Caregiver:

Did you read the comment posted under Kidney Cancer On clinical trail? Ask the doctor about the trial. I heard she is a wonderful dr. Dr Janice Dutcher. I had e-mailed her one time and amazing she wrote back to me. Give it a try.

Good luck

Bernadette

I hope that you did not stop your conventional treatment for this unproven treatment.

For those interested in this topic, I think this link in Quackwatch addresses this issue. This reference is more than the diet but I think it all ties back to the original claims by Dr. Budwig.

carl74 Can I ask the question a gain what wrong with the Budwig diet. The link you sent me to Quackwatch dos not addresses this issue. it all it is Dr Stephen Barrett bagging out Dr Hulda Clark you know I tested the bob beck zappers it had no effect on my cancer what so ever but it did stop an infection in my hand though Dr Stephen Barrett, I've read a few of his so called reports before he twist things a round a bit. I feel he right and not right about Hulda Clark I've since read a few bad reports about both these doctors . I really feel there trying to make cancer treatment out to be a simple treatment cancer but is very complicated I remember reading in a book called the cell factor by Dr Ross Waker a lot of cancer are cause by the highly processed food we eat these foods contain tri-fats dr ross waker says these tri fats damage the outer membrain of the cell. the cell gets lest food so it changers into a cancer cell. also viruses change and weaken our immune system and damage the cell DNA RNA the cell is force to change it self so it makes changes to it nuculas DNA- RNA so it gets sick dos not act or do what it supose to it gets bigger and be comes a cancer cell. but these are two only a hundred way we make cancer cells I was told we produce these cancer cells all the time from the moment we are conceved to the moment we die it when we prduce to meny cancer cell do we get cancer tumors our body handles these few cancer cells very well but when we nake to menny cancer cells our system gets over whelmed so a few tumor sevive and get bigger The thing is these few cancer cell act as though there starving they can turn protinein to gluecose Ill stop here can you tell me any thing that you find wrong about the budwig diet.
