Hello,

I lost my beloved Father to prostate cancer in 2005. I stayed with him until the end. I have read post about not giving food nor drink and I understand better now what it does. I had to watch him suffer and was with him when he died. I miss him still and I pray that God kisses him and hugs him everyday. He truly is in a better place. I still cry and think of him always. My dad looked like Pope John Paul and he died the same year. I am so glad to know they more than likely have met and are smiling down on all of us. I would like to talk with people who have been through this and how they cope. My mum died in 1979 from diabetes. I have no other real family seeing as I was the only child. I live alone with my pet squirrels and that gets me through. My dad always loved them. Thank the people for this community of wonderful people. I will also pray for the messages that I have read. Some made me cry. I know how hard it is, but it never truly leaves you. I hope to here from others like me and how they go on. For awhile after, I didn't eat nor drink. I cared only for death myself so I could be with him.

Thanks for reading this,

Thank you Damon. Your words are greatly appreciated. I hope maybe I can help people with the knowledge I have learned. It really is good to have friends that know what you go through. May God bless you and bring you peace.

May I say that many of us in cyber space have felt the loss of loved ones to cancer. I like to refer to it as the Great Sadness,,,there is nothing anyone can say to remove the pain of the loss,

Just know that others understand what you   are going through.

May the peace of God that passes all understanding guard your heart and your mind until that day when there will no longer be pain or heartache,

God will wipe away all our tears on that day,,,we have the hope and promise to see our loved ones again.

 God Bless you.

Heloo - your message was very touching.  I lost my Dad to prostrate cancer in 1978.  There is never a day go by that I don't think of him.  My Mom lives with us and that is a comfort as far as parenting goes.  My husband now has cancer and the thought of going through all of this is almost unbearable.  This website has been a God send to me over the months.  There are so many kind a helpful people.  I will pray for you daily.  I know that life is a struggle and it is compounded if cancer is a part of the equation.  Take care of yourself and God Bless You!

That was so beautiul. I look forward to that day. We can rejoice in the glory that God created for us. He said my house has many rooms and I believe we will meet in them. I will pray for you and your family and may peace be with you.
