My dad has nasopharyngeal cancer which has spread to his lymph nodes in his neck. He finished 35 tomo radiation treatments 2 weeks ago. He also has had 3 chemo treatments and needs 3 more over the next 3 months. He went to see the radiation doctor 2 days ago and found out that he will probably need surgery on his lymph nodes in his neck because they didn't shrink as much as the doctor thought they would. I would like to know if anyone has had this type of cancer and surgery after treatments. In the beginning we were told he most likely wouldn't need an operation and now the doctors are saying he does.
