Hello Robert, I'm not sure what kind of information you would like me to share with you. My cancer had metastisized to my abdominal wall - around a vein. They removed 3 feet of my colon in January but I do not have a colostomy bag at all. Prior to my surgery, I had horrible pain and 2 obstructions. I don't have obstructions any more since they removed all the cancer from my colon. I am eating normally and am feeling good physically, just tired a lot of the time which is from chemo. I am currently on a chemo break (since end of August)as my doctor recommended. My CT Scan results will determine when I need to go back on chemo. I am expecting CT Scan results this week, as I had one on November 24th. My cancer is not in my lungs or liver as your dad's is, but my Oncologist says it happens in 99% of cases like mine, so he is expecting it to go there. He has even said that it's possible it's already in my liver or lungs but too small to be seen on a CT Scan. I don't live far from you - we are in Kitchener which is only an hour away from Toronto. I went for a second opinion to Dr. Burkes at Mount Sinai hospital in Toronto about a month ago. He is sure that Avastin will be available here by Spring at the latest. My Oncologist in Kitchener believes this to be true as well. Please let me know if you have any other questions, and all the best to your dad and your family. Jen

Thank you for your response. Yes you are right; my dad's case is different and more advanced. If I came across any question I will ask. It will be probably on IP6 and Inositol, as I am thinking to add this to my dad’s diet. Thanks once again and good luck with your CT scan results. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. All the best. Robert

Hi Robert, if your father is not on IP6 & Inositol now, please get him on it immediately! Capsules are 500 mg. each....he needs to take 8 of them two times per day on an EMPTY stomach. For more information and testimonials, go to Inocell.com. You can buy these at any health store. I buy the Natural Factors product. You need something to help turn your dad around NOW. All the best Robert, Jen.

Let me make sure, that is 8 tablets at once 8 x 500 mg = 4000mg. Twice per day on empty stomach. Is the IP6 and Inositol combined into one tablet? I read testimonials and it looks very promissing. Thank you for advice, and all the best to you. Robert

Hi Robert Yes, that is exactly right. 8 tablets (500mg each) at one time, twice per day on an empty stomach. So total for the day will be 8000 mg. It is easy to find the Natural Factors brand. Yes, the IP6 & Inositol are combined into one capsule. Also, your father should take Maitake Gold liquid by Natural Factors. It is to build the immune system. Each dropper full is 0.7 ml. He is to take 3 of these per day at different times on an empty stomach or 20 minutes before meals. Hope this helps, Peace, Jen

Very nice of you to ask about my CT Scan results. The results were not very good...the tumor in my abdominal wall has grown 1/2 inch (1cm) in 8 weeks. It is not in my liver which is GREAT, but I am quite distressed about the results and I am starting back on chemo on December 20th. (yuck) Pretty depressed about this. I'm glad to hear that you are getting IP6 for your dad today...keep me posted as to how he is doing. Please remember about the maitake gold too...it will boost his immune system quite a bit. Peace, Jen

Sorry to hear about your CT Scan results. Looking at my dad, I can tell, how unpleasant chemo is, but you have to do what you have to do, you can give up. 1 cm in 8 weeks is not too much. With chemo and your supplements you should be able to get rid of it. Be positve it could be worst as you said, no mets to liver. Do you know what you will be taking? I got my IP6 today, I ordered in capsules, but my naturopath could only get in powder. Also she could not ger maitaki gold this time, but she got for me Transfer Factor and maitaki is one of the ingredients. Next week I will get new box of Essiac Tea and IP6 in capsules. Have you heard about vilcacora (Cat's Claw)? My dad has ups and downs, last two days beeing kind of tough, as he had cramps and some obstructions causing a lot of pain. I hope next couple of weeke will be better and he can recover for the next chemo round for Dec23 All the best and stay strong, Robert

Hi there, Thanks for asking about me. I got my PICC line in yesterday, and was scheduled to have chemo today, but received a phone call from Princess Margaret hospital regarding the clinical trial I am interested in. So, I decided to put chemo off, because Princess Margaret gave me an appointment date of January 3rd - only 2 weeks from now. I will be able to find out more about the trial on January 3rd and decide then if I am interested in taking part or not. You cannot participate in this particular trial unless you have had no chemo for 1 month, which is why I decided to put chemo off until I find out more. How is your dad doing? Jen
