I have been diagnosed with clear cell adenocarcinoma of the uterus.  I am about to have a radical hysterectomy.  I am concerned about the removal of so many lymph nodes.  What would be the side effects?  Swelling of legs?  Pro and or cons?  I am having quite of bit of discomfort now.  Surgery in 5 days.  I would appreciate any ones comments regarding what to expect.

Hi
Sue, I just found this site. I hope your surgery went well. I had the
same thing done in Dec. of 08. I  still have swelling of the legs
mostly the left one. I have been going through chemo I  just had
my 5th  one yesterday. 1 to go! Did you have to do Chemo
Too?  praying for you. Patty L.

Hi!  Just had that same surgery 6/24.  Ouch!.  Did get some swelling in my upper legs.  I'm Stage 3C, Grade 4 clear cell.  Chemo & Radiation to follow.  Waiting to heal from surgery to find out what the regimen, etc is going to be.  Terrified, as I am sure you are as well.  Came from out of no-where, too.
