Hi Milena....I have a neuroendocrine panc. tumor, believe stage 2 with no mets so far. My chemo is xeloda and temodar, 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off for 3 months, then Ct scan. Been doing this for 5 months and latest scan shows 20% shrinkage. Fortunately, I feel good and am doing normal things with no pain or symptoms so far. Hope this information is helpful.

We all hope for the best, I think positive thinking is the most important thing. I  wish You all the best, be positive, and believe, then everything is going to be fine...I pray for You

First your English is very good.  Yes I have been on the Xeloda Temodal treatment.   I had a pancreatic tumor located in the head of my pancreas in February of 2007, had not post operative treatment and 16 months latter had 4 new tumors, 2 in the liver, 1 near the aorta and the other in the pancreatic bed where 1/2 of my pancreas had been located.  I went on the combination chemo program prescribed by a Dr. Larry Kvols of the Moffitt Cancer and Research Center in Tampa Florida, USA.  He is one of the worlds leaders in neuro endocrine cancer.  Within 2 cycles or 45 days I had a cat scan and both tumors were gone in the liver and the other two which were 2-3 cm had been reduced to 1-2 mm.  According to all of the doctors I had an outstanding response to the treatment.  3 months after finishing the treatment the tumors returned.  I had the one in the pancreatic bed radiated and have started on the combination treatment again.  No real problems from the radiation and the combination of Xeloda/Temodal for me had posed no real side affects other than at times in the afternoon I would tire and had some slight problem with peeling of the skin on my feet which is normal.  I have been on the chemo for 5 days know and am doing fine.  Hope that gives you some information.  If you need anything else contact me @ --Message edited by CancerCompass staff.
