my twin sister went to chiro m.d. because her back was hurting, the chiro put her ribs out of place she discovered  when she went home, from there went back to put in place and starting having problems with choking on food and clearing her throat and losing weight. Went to her FP doctor several times who gave her inhalers and chest xray, anyway finally she went to the ER and they did an echo where they found fluid around the lining of her lungs and heart, the fluid was  aspirated  and found cancer. Since then the oncologist has given us confusing information, "unsoucre primary" then he says lung cancer, then thyroid cancer, she is back in the hospital with her thyroid just taken out...it was found out that it did not have cancer. We are looking for a second opinion in the UCD area of Sacramento. so they are not going to start any treatment because of  this. Any way does anyone of information  similar. her twin sis

Did they run some marker blood test to determine what type?  Ask for Ct scan and biopsy (2 wks result) to determine  the origin.  we need the gene code (impression) from the pathologist to determine what kind of cancer in order to treat ur sister.

Hi twin sister. I am a non smoker who was diagnosed last year with BAC lung cancer. Of course your sisters problem could be many things, however,BAC cancer gets misdiagnosed sometimes because it is rare. I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. McKenna at Cedars in LA. You might try looking him up on the internet. If your sister has to have a lung wedge biopsy, and/or a lobe removed from her lung if it is cancer, I think Dr. McKenna is the best. I am sorry for you and your sister. How old are you? Do you have faith in the medical staff you are seeing? I know it can be difficult until you find that person. Please respond to Moon and Stars. Thanks.
