Lady Jane 11 is corect in her statement that it depends on what type of liver cancer your friend has. I was diagnosed with HCC 2-1/2 years ago, have had a resection and seven treatments since. My liver functions are all perfectly normal and I feel fine. It is also vitally important to seek care at a facility who specializes in liver cancer such as MAYO/Rochester.
