This is a follow-up on my cancer diagnosed in July of 2007. I was 68 years old at the time and had a stage T1c cancer with a Gleason score of 3+4=7.  I elected to have brachytherapy done.  I had it done on November 29, 2007.  At my first 6 month checkup my PSA was 0.33, my 2nd 6 month was 0.27 and yesterday my 3rd 6 month was 0.16.  I have had minimal problems from the therapy.  I had some discomfort shortly after the proceedure but was given enjections of DSMO into the bladder once a week for 6 weeks.  The discomfort went away and I haven't had any problems since.  I am thankful that I have a great urologist and have done so well so far. I hope this will be in incouragement to someone!

adepose,

Your news is wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing it. Many of us need that encouragement.

What we seem to hear little of on the forums are the successes but yes, there are a lot of them out there.
