I have been taking arimidex for 2 1/2 years and am suffering the usual side effects, hot flushes for which I am taking Gabapentina , this seems to help, but am suffering from tiredness and aching body, not just my joints at times my whole body seems to be aching, and I just dont seem to be able to do anything without feeling 'worn out' . I have another 2 1/2 years of taking Arimidex to go but can anyone tell me if after completetion of 5 years treatment - do all the side effects go.

I'm with you. I wonder the same thing after taking Arimidex for 1-1/2 years. The side effects vary from day to day, but I think I've had every one I've ever seen mentioned in the past 18 months.

I am also wondering if the side effects will go away, specifically effects of arthritis and high cholesterol. I have 10 months left to go on Arimidex. I feel cheated. The likelihood of my cancer returning was slim so now I feel like I jeopardized my health in so many other ways. It's very depressing. No one will talk about it with me. Doctors just keep giving me more pills for each new ailment and I'm REALLY sick of that. I want OUT!
