Possible liposarcoma diagnosis, need a specialist

I had an MRI that is now requiring a biopsy to determine if my tumor is a liposarcoma.  I have done enough research to know that first and foremost, I need to find a specialist, even this early on.  

I am worried that I am limited in my ability to find a reputable specialist, due to being in the Kaiser network. It seems so many people are meeting w/ specialists at Stanford, Sloan, etc. I don' t yet know what Kaiser has to offer in terms of specialists dealing w/ Sarcoma but am fearful of the limitations of my insurance.

Hi We too had a Sarcoma Diagnosis I didn't fool around and took my sister to MD Anderson in Houston you are allowed a second opinion from your insurance company and with Sarcoma you need a specialist. The Bay Area is limited we got an appointment within hours. They have a large Sarcoma Department at MD Anderson.

Thank you for responding to my message? You mentioned insurance allows for a second opinion - did your sister happen to have Kaiser? I have found a specialist (within Kaiser) in So. San Francisco - he's an orthopedic oncologic surgeon and thus far is very reputable.  I meet w/ him on 6/22.
