Nutrition/Homeopathic Remedies?

My mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last week. She hasn't started chemo yet and hasn't had her chemo consult yet. I'm thinking she might be in stage II because the doctor said her other organs are clean. I was wondering if there are specific nutrition tips that are supposed to help in the health of the pancreas and the other organs in that area that will help in the recovery process during chemo. Are there any homeopathic remedies she could try? She's getting a lot of rest now, which she learned is important to keep as much energy as she can. Does anyone have any other tips?

Sorry, I don't have any tips on nutrition.  I'm sure some others will.  I really think the best bet is the chemo.  If you Mom is in the early stages she might be a candidate for surgery, whipple or cyberknife.  I'd look into that before chemo if she is a candidate.

Best wishes.  Sorry I can't help more.

The most common battle is maintaining weight for most patients.  There are some calorie-boosting shakes that my mother liked and are easy to digest.  For awhile they were the only thing she could consume without abdominal pain.

If not diabetic: Scandishake powder with 1 teaspoon crushed almonds, 1 egg (or Egg Beaters), no-sugar-added ice cream and milk to make 2 cups

and

If diabetic: Glucerna with 1 teaspoon crushed almonds, 1 egg (or Egg Beaters), no-sugar-added ice cream.

Scandishake can be found at most pharmacies or online.  There are online specials if you buy more than 1 case at a time.
