The chemo drugs can cause her blood counts to drop and then she needs blood transfusions to raise them again.  A lot of folks on chemo just feel yucky and have no appetite and have a hard time eating.   Have you asked her doctor about this?  There are meds that may be able to help depending on what all side effects she is having. Stay strong and don't be afraid to ask the doctors.  Also, you may want to ask them for information on what to expect from treatment.  They should have already told you all that though.
