Gastric cancer research fund

I have read this site since January 2008 when my daughter was diagnosised with gastric cancer.  We lost our precious daughter in April 2008.  She was only 27 years old.  I am now trying to do whatever I can to help bring the need for improved and increased funding for gastic cancer to the attention of others.  I want to pass along a web site that has been created by a gastric cancer survivor.  If you would like to help us in our efforts of trying to raise awareness for gastric cancer research, please check it out at gastriccancer.org and let others know about this wonderful site.

Thank you everyone!

Joan

I just tried the web site gastriccancer.org and I was able to get in.  Maybe just type in the search for Gastric Cancer Fund and you should be able to find the right site.

Joan -   I am eager to do SOMETHING as we've discussed.  Waiting on JP to get back in touch with me.  I have forwarded this site out to people and am going to keep doing that until I drive them nuts :)    Thanks for sharing.

If we all band together and spread the word about gastric cancer and fundraise, raise money, make donations, etc we CAN make a difference for those in the future who are diagnosed with this dreadful disease.   We have to be persistent and never give up hope that what we do makes a difference.

Thank you Tracy for being such a great supporter of raising awareness for Gastric Cancer.  My biggest disappointment is that so many believe that it is a disease of the elderly and we both know that it also affects those who are young.  God bless Megan, age 27 and Melissa, age 30, our loved ones for who we are doing this.  Please help in anyway you can to help fight this disease.

joant,

I am interested in your daughters story. My husband(59) just died from gastric cancer June 17th our 25 yo daughter has symptoms similiar to his at the same age. He had signet ring cell adenocarcinoma. All tests did not reveal his cancer it was hidden in submucosa. I, too, am interested in getting the word out.  I  have not visited the site yet but I will. Thanks for the posting

Dear Karen,

I am so sorry to hear about your husband...it is such a loss.

I would love to talk with you regarding my daughter.  I did send you a private e-mail.  If you didn't receive it, please just let me know here.
