RE: rectal cancer

I just completed chemo/radiation for anal cancer, so it's probably similar to what you'll be getting. I was told to avoid whole grains and raw fruits and vegetables because the radiation will make it difficult to digest those foods. That would be my only concern with the diet. I read a lot of messages on different boards that scared me before I started treatment. The treatment was not a lot of fun and I felt lousy most of the time, but it was not as bad as I expected. Keep thinking postive thoughts! I know that's a LOT easier said than done. Best of luck to you.

rectal cancer

Hi everyone,I've started chemo/radiation two days ago. And am trying hard to keep a positive attitude. I read about "the Budwig Diet" and as wondering if anyone has heard of this and have tried it.. Suppose to rid the body of all kinds of cancers without treatment. The thought of killing all my good cells is devastating. And I heard some people can't tolerate this chemo/radiation and can die just from the "cure"..I have received some good info on this site which is helping but I just need to know a little more. I am trying to be strong but I still go up and down.Any help would be appreciated
