diagnosed yesterday with cholangiocarcinoma

After 10 months of tests and scans, finally had my biopsy last week.  Two days later was told that what I had been assured was just something we need to keep an eye on, was actually cholangiocarcinoma.  I'm scheduled for left lobe and gallbladder removal next week. I'm still in shock!  And absolutely terrified. My doctor is a Oncology/Thoracic Surgeon. Any advice from anyone who's been through this?

My husband was just diagnosed with the same condition and it is in part of his liver. Why do you advise not to have surgery? what state are you in and what hospital are you connected with and their doctors?

we are in Colorado and U. of CO. has a trial test going on for gallbladder cancer I am told. We're going there next week.

I need any and all info. on who is tops in this field and where????

Sincerely,

Susan B.
