A close friend was recently diagnosed with this type of cancer. She would need treatment for her melanoma and also treatment for the mets. The brain could be treated with radiation or some chemo injected into the intrathecal space. Has your friend recieved any treatment? There were no other evidence of melanoma anywhere else till november when he was diagnosed with leptomeningeal cancer which was diagnosed by melanoma cells in the cerebral spinal fluid. He is currently receiving temozolamide which is given orally for 6 weeks. Do you have any other suggestions for treatment?
