I am a care giver for an MD Anderson Stage 4 colon Cancer patient that has been under going Chemo for the past year with good results being that the patient has been on hold for the past 6 months IE no chemo as the tumor has shrunk . My problem is her Job of 12 years { automotive business has gone out of business} leaving her with no Insurance as well as salary [no income] I feel that in the near future she will have to start treatment again as well as cat scans to see what the tumor is doing. We have contacted MD Anderson in Houston, TX only to be told that due to the fact that we live in Harris County which is mostly Houston, their is nothing the Hospital can do to help. WOW, Our Insurance Blue Cross, Blue Shield has spent a fortune with MD Anderson and now the Hospital does not want to help . If one runs out of money in this world , too Bad ! This lady is 63 years old and seems to be doing quite well even with the stage 4 cancer . Does anyone know what might be done to help Her ?
