I have been taking 150 mgs. of Tarceva for about a month and have experienced no terrible side effects except my hands are getting very red. I got a very nasty bladder infection and things went down hill from there. My regular doctor prescribed Levaquin and when I went back to her, she added Zithromax so I'm on two antibiotics. I have had irritable bowel syndrome for about 40 years and my stomach problems are similar to that except worse since they don't go away. My oncologist is gone for the month of June so I talked to the PA and she thought I might be low on fluids. I went to the hospital today to get fluids and was prescribed Zofran for my nausea. It helped for awhile but it wore off.
Basically my problem is that when I have BM which is NOT diarrhea, I sit on the toilet with a wastebasket in my lap and throw up in the wastebasket, or more likely have dry heaves since my stomach is so messed up I can't eat much. The docs seem to think I'm having diarrhea and nausea. I'm not having diarrhea, but rather sticky stool and nausea. I don't know what to do, but I'm had it up to here with this business. Any advice?
