I was Stage IV by the time I started taking Sutent. Kidney removed and cancer returned on my liver. I had a complete response to Sutent; stopped taking the drug and remained cancer free for three years. The cancer came back in May and I'm back on Sutent---50 mg/day. Having fantastic results once again---a 50% + reduction in tumor size. What questions do you have for me?

Hello Bunker, We are new to Sutent (and fhe RCC 'journey') and I'm wondering how you are progressing. I saw your posts in 2009, which is a long time ago! Nettty

Hello Nettty,

The journey continues (which is a good thing). I am doing fine and have had a few reoccurances since 2009. Still working and feeling great. Just cautious. Please tell me more about your situation. How can I help? My wife and I have learned a lot about RCC and Sutent during our journey. We consider Sustent to be a wonder drug but there are some side effects. We we able to deal with all of them and have learned some "ticks" along the way. Please don't hesitate to ask questions.

Your friend,

Bunker

Hi Bunker,

It is awesome to see you posting again!

Your posts have always been inspirational to me through my journey.

I have been off of Sutent since the month before my surgery; which is now 29 months.  I keep up with my scans and lab work which is important.

Sutent is a 'wonder drug' and I had all the side effects for two and a half years........but, I would be ready to go back on it, if the need arises.

Keep up the good work and enjoy each day to the fullest.

Prayers and blessings,

B
