Hello,

I wrote earlier about having neuropathy  someone replied by telling me about cymbalta.  Does anyone know if you can take this drug if you're taking chemo?

Hi,

I don't know about neuropathy, but my mom takes Cymbalta as an anti-depressant...

My mom's integrative MD suggested Glutamin to help with neuropathy, Check with your doctor.

My Sister was given Cymbalta and as you know when you start a new drug, (anti depression) it takes 3 weeks for anything to work.  She has Lung Cancer for 5+ years (highs & lows) and with the Cymbalta she had diarea, vomiting and was loosing weight.  Was taken off the drug and given Efixor.  What I would suggest is you see a "pain management" doctor, they can scan the area, and pin point with injections of several different drugs.  If this works we were told that the injections will hold the pain for approx. 6 months.  Good Luck and May God Bless you all.
