My mom had it.  She winded back in ER room many times.

Do you have a lot of wheezie sound?  difficult of breathing, swallowing, tire, fatigue symptoms?   U should immediately put on the Feeding tube to help you nourishing body properly to against this. It can get ugly.  I see a lot of pple just die in the hospital for respiratory pneumonia errors.

U will need to make an appointment to see a pulmonologist ASAP for your lung. It needs to be treat right at the start or you will end up to have a trache in.  You might be contract an infection already - easily.  My mom condition took her 3 months * as the first one mis-treated her and being kicked home ** left and right and winded back to ER the next day.

Best wishes,

Victoria

JEB.......I also had radiation pneumonitis & went on prednisone. The doc never told me how awful the prednisone would be. I started on 60mg a day & then worked my way down to 40mg, then lower & lower until I was off. But the pneumonitis was still there so I had to start all over again. It seemed to take forever for it to be gone.

I put on 17 lbs. because I had such a hunger for food even tho I wasn't hungry. I wish I'd been told that. Plus I was all hyped up because it is a steroid.

I talked with a friend that was on it & she refused to take it again when her problem flared up. Said that the cure was worse than the problem & she would "tough it out." I almost think I would also.

God bless....Connie
