RE: I have radiation pneumonitis

JEB.......I also had radiation pneumonitis & went on prednisone. The doc never told me how awful the prednisone would be. I started on 60mg a day & then worked my way down to 40mg, then lower & lower until I was off. But the pneumonitis was still there so I had to start all over again. It seemed to take forever for it to be gone.I put on 17 lbs. because I had such a hunger for food even tho I wasn't hungry. I wish I'd been told that. Plus I was all hyped up because it is a steroid.I talked with a friend that was on it & she refused to take it again when her problem flared up. Said that the cure was worse than the problem & she would "tough it out." I almost think I would also.God bless....Connie
