My brother was diagnosed in June 2009. What have your treatments been and how are you doing? It is a frustrating cancer since all the oncologists don't seem to know much about it.

Angiosarcoma

My ex-husband and father of 2 of my children (little girls 6 & 8) was diagnosed with Angiosarcoma in August of 2004. At that time I did a lot of research and found that if he survived it would be a miracle. I found that it is often caused by exposure to Vinyl Chloride which is used in a lot of manufacturing processes. It is rare and the survival rate is not the best. He fortunately went into remission for 3 1/2 years which was great. At that time our daughters did not really notice anything was going on because they were 1 and 3. However he recently found out that it has returned with a vengance. He went in for what he thought was hernia surgery and found out that it was swollen lymphnoids. After getting fully checked out, they discovered that he has 3 tumors this time instead of 1 and that the tumors will be more difficult to remove. They got a portion of the one but the other 2 they have decided to see what effect chemo and radiation have on them before attempting to remove them. We are at a loss for the words to tell our daughters. The outcome looks bleak at this point. He lost a lot of weight this time and his hair started falling out yesterday when I dropped my girls off to see him. He can't see them as often due to the aggressive chemotherapy and how much it wipes him out. I am so afraid that they might lose him. Anyone who reads this please pray for him and anyone else that may have any type of cancer.
