Gerry, congratulations!!!

I'm new to this forum. Would you mind sharing just a little bit about where you were treated and how you were treated? My dad passed away a little over 2 years ago from PC, and my grandpa passed away about 10 years ago from it. I'm just very interested in keeping up to date on this disease.

Thankyou Amy,

I am sorry about your Grandpa. I had a distal pancreatectomy and spleenectomy at Memorial Sloan Kettering on Nov 3,09. The tumor was 4 cm. I was very lucky that it was caught early and did not spread. I didn't need any treatment. I have about an 18% chance of it returning .... I just have to keep checking and eat reasonably healthy and be positive ....  GerryB ...................................

Gary,

Way to go!!! I don't know you but I am so happy for you and your news.  I was hoping you could help me out.  I just posted "Whipple and Drainage" on this site. Did you have the Whipple Procedure?  If you did I would be grateful if you could share with me your experience with the drains.  I am eight weeks after surgery with one drain in and getting 16-20 ounces a day of fluid.

Thank you and congratulations!!!! I wish you all the best life can offer-
