peritoneum cancer

Hi!

My sister was diagnosed with peritoneal cancer in May and at that time she had a mass removed from the peritoneum to the 1/4 ovary she had left (that was not working) and two tumors from the fatty tissue outside of her colon the results showed all cancerous and the doctor said her peritoneum looked like salt and pepper to him and the liquid that they found on her cat scan was also cancerous.   There were two tumors on her bowel that they did not remove.  She started chemo on June 15th the day before her birthday, my other sister and her husband and our step dad and I went to see her on her birthday (June 16th she turned 57).  It was truly a day from God because she felt better and was almost as if she didn't have cancer at all.  But since then she has had two days which she slept almost all day and two days of diaherra and vomiting.  She will go tomorrow (June 22) for her second chemo treatment and then she will be off for one week and start again one treatment every monday for two weeks and off one after 6 weeks or so they will recheck her markers to see if the chemo is doing any good.  I was just wondering if anyone out there has had to deal with this type of cancer or knows anyone who has.  I am having a hard time dealing with this because it is so surreal to me.  Any one willing to talk I would appreciate it.

Thanks  Sis Shelly
