Looking For Marcie Reber

Marcie,

I hope you read this.  My 17 year old daughter also has nueroendocrine islet cell cancer.  She was diagnosed at age 10 and had the Whipple operation  at Sloan Kettering.  I read your article in the June PANCAN outreach newsletter and would like to discuss Switzerland and the procedure you went thru.  We need to make some new choices and hopefully you can give me some advice.

Thank you.

Bill

Hi Bill,

Sorry to hear about your daughter.  Cancer does not respect age, unfortunately.

In case Marcie doesn't see your post, I want to let you know there is a caregiver named Michael-PA on the Johns Hopkins Pancreatic Cancer Online Support Board.  His wife Sherrie has NET and has been to Basel several times with apparently very good results.  He has a web site titled RoadToBasel.com describing their trip and her treatment.

Michael-PA knows tons about NET and I have no doubt you would learn a lot from him.  He will reply to a message posted to his attention on the Hopkins Board.

Good luck.
