Nancy,

Thanks for the info.  I get Dexamethasone which I believe is a steroid and Granisetron which I believe is the anti-nausea med.  Anyway it all works.

How are you feeling since your cocktail yesterday?  I get my next one on the 29th.  125 is starting to go up, but still is very low - 10.8.  So eventually it will get high enough that I will have to get chemo more often than every 3 weeks.   I'm taking advantage of this time and jamming in everything I can.  This week my Nebraska family is here - 3 extra people to cook for keeps me hopping, but we have fun.

Hope this is a good week for you.

Gayle

Hi All Teal warriors,

I am leaving Saturday the 25 for PA and will only be able to read emails for a couple of days on my cell phone. I cannot get this website on my cell phone.  My laptop has a defective power cord, and my battery is dead. I am having one shippped to PA so hopefully it gets there sooner or later. So if you send me a message send it by email.

I had good news yesterday, my ca 125 is down to 48 from 98 a month ago!  I had a treatment of gemzar on Tuesday and I got another fever from it. I am Ok just packing slowly here and I am going to PA, no matter what! My sister the doctor will be with me so I will be OK.

Hope all is well with everyone, and I will check in as soon as my laptop is up and running again. I will get emails on my phone in mean time.

Nancy

Nancy,

So happy to hear your 125 is going down more each time.  I've been on the 3 week schedule for 3 months now and my markers are still in the safe zone.  125 is 11.  Maybe you will be able to go on a better schedule one of these days.  It improves my quality of life and I have a chance to recover before the next treatment.  Hurrah fro Gemzar!  What other chemical do you get?  I get Carbo.

Hope you are having a great trip.

 Gayle

Gayle, Having a good time here with family, house we rented is great and peaceful. I am also having carbo, but only once a month, on third treatment. My next double is August 11. Have gemar only on  this Tuesday, the 4 and port put in monday morning, the 3.

I took this past week  (25-1) off from chemo so I am having Gemzar second dose this up coming week, (3-8) in stead of this week. (25-1). So my treatment month is not running within the calendar month, any more like it did.

It worked out though for having port put in, they like to do it the week after the 4 week, my normal week off, Doc used this week as a week off so port could put in sooner,

I will be home Saturday night late and home most of next week except for monday and tuesday. Port and chemo.

Hope you did ok with chemo today and all other teal warriors are doing ok,

take care Nancy

Hey all, where is everyone?  I need to know how long it takes before the area where power port was put in, takes to stop hurting and being so tender. My breast hurts when I bend over and not wearing a bra is worse. I had it put in on August 3 and area is still a bit black and blue. Is this noraml?

How is everyone doing with there numbers? Hope everyone is OK, Pam Gayle, harriet, Terry?

Best wishes to all, Nancy

Hello All, I have been keeping an eye on the board, just been enjoying the summer. I go for my blood draw on the 26th but won't have the count for a couple of days after.  I have had a great two months off.  I have a few issues that I prolly should ask the doc about but then again I am not sure I want to know............  Wish I could answer your questions Nancy but I have no clue.  I still have IV so I don't know about the port.  Are your numbers still down?  Have you talked with your doc? Two weeks you would think it would get better, but who knows?

Hope all is well with everyone, Prayers for all Pam

Hi all,

I have been away (last trip Iowa, rain, rain,) and busy dong my glass work.

Had blood test and chemo today.  I'm quite thrilled as my 125 is still 10 - actually went down 1/2 point from 3 weeks ago and so did the 27/29 (breast cancer) which is 20.  So my 3 week schedule is working and I'm able to recover and enjoy 2 full weeks before the next chemo.  It has given me a life!

I hope all of you are doing well.

Gayle

Hi all.

My numbers Pam are 48 on last reading about two weeks ago.  Chemo is working! I called Sloan and talked with a nurse and the pains I am having are normal. I am use to them now. The pain I am having is worth it, no more getting needles and sore veins from the chemo, or burning.

Pam, I hope youre numbers are Ok, good news with Gayle on her numbers. Have not heard from Sandy or Terry in awhile, wondering how they are doing.

I think your birthday Pam is coming up soon. If I forget Happy birthday!

I just got a new washer and dryer and I put vinyl stick on tile on the floor before new machines arrived. I still have a hallway to tile but no rush. Rug in hallway where washer dryer are has had it so I pulled it up and putting tile there. Its a small hallway. I try and get things done while on my week off of chemo. Tuesday the 25 I go for gemzar treatment, first one in this new cycle.

Gayle How are you feeling after your treatment there?

Very hot here, its stay home in A/c weather. I would not be able to deal without A/C, especially with going through chemo.

I have to go and eat, take care all,. I keep checking this post out now and then. I am always on facebook if you want me.

Harriet where are you and how are you? Sandy, terry?

Nancy
