My husband has had small cell cancer for over a year It did shrink after taking chemo & radiation  It has returned & now he is trying Alimta  He has to get a cat scan on the 10th of July too see if it held it back from spreading. He knows it will never be cured. At this time I am trying to help him with depression He had been diagnosed with Bi-Polar disorder I guess around 10 years ago & has had mood swings once in awhile but it is getting worse now I guess the tension of waiting for results & dealing with cancer has taken over which I can understand I just keep on thinking How can I help him It is really starting to take a toll on me  Any advice I would appreciate Joan (

Hello,

Hopefully you received good news by now.  My husband also has small cell lung cancer.  He finished all treatments in March 09 and we just pray each CT that it does not return.  It is hard being the care giver and I do understand.  Just try to get out once in a while away from the stress and try to put yourself in his shoes and overlook what you can.  Take care,

I will say a prayer for you and your family.
