I was wondering if any of you guys have heard of GBMs showing up in spoues?  My brother-in-law was dx in 4/09 with L posterior temporal lobe GBM, and this is only after my ex-sis-in-law was dx in 8/07 also with a L posterior temporal lobe GBM.  We are all working closely to help find new trials, but have you guys heard of spousal tumors?  Any facility out there doing research on this? Our tx is at Johns Hopkins....any other suggestions?

Wow, how terrible for everyone.  I have never heard of such a thing, have heard of blood relatives.  Tell me this is not environmental?  Bless you all, what a nightmare.

Donna, wife of Rob, dx 12/08 GBM4

No, but I was dx with GBM 9/18/09 and one of my business partners was dx with GBM within 8 weeks of my dx. We worked in the same office building for several years, but that's the only connection other than working in the same office suite of about 4,000 sq.ft. His office was on the other side of the suite. EJ

If you haven't seen this C SPAN winning video it is definitely worth the time to watch.  There is a twist at the end.

My husband's father was diagnosed with a GBM in 1998.  I was diagnosed with a meningioma in 2004.  Some doctors consider this a non-malignant brain tumor and others a grade 1.  My husband was diagnosed with a grade 3 oligodendroglioma in 2007.
