2nd Stable MRI...

I just wanted to share that my father, age 60 dx. 12/08, completed  radiation,  and still taking temador (120 mg pr day). We got the results of his second MRI after completion from radiation, first one showed pseudo-progression and this on they said was holding their own and showed a slight decrease in size, but warns us that this may be the most it will decrease. My fathers has also been taking 2mg of decadron per day and we are starting the wean, we've now gone to 1mg per day. We'll stay at this dose for at least a month or 2, then the next MRI IN 2 months. When I asked the NO about regaining his leg strength, he did say it would take along time from the time he is completely off of it, so we should not expect to see any improvement even at the 1 mg. dose.

I was so worried because I felt my Dad was sliding backwards and that the tumor was growing, but I was wrong. We were told that the tumor is still under their control and that he is just plain old fatigued! I guess I'll take that as an answer to our concerns.

God bless you all and everyone, keep on keeping on!

Colleen;

   It is sure is good news to get a stable MRI.  Take the present moment to take a deep breath and a sigh of gratitude.  One day at a time, let this be a good one.

Colleen, really glad to read the news. I know it's such a rough ride, always wondering if things are good bad or what!

Donna, good idea to just take the day as is!

Love and hope to all,
