My 76 year YOUNG husband was diagnosed May 8 with lung cancer. Surgery was May 27 and diagnosed as Stage 1B although it was caught early, it was an aggressive cancer (splitting beneath the lab's microscope) thus Taxol and Chemoplatin (sp?) began June 22 (first of 4-6 treatments). He has MAJOR problems with constipation due to pain meds thus refuses to take them. Has anyone utilized accupuncture for pain control? He has lost 21 lbs since his surgery refusing to eat and IF the pain could be controlled via accupuncture I think he could get some strength.
