      <description>&amp;nbsp;On 6/28/2009 gonetothedogs523 wrote:Hi ladies.&amp;nbsp; Just wanted to say thank you for all the sharing you all do for all of us.&amp;nbsp; I was diagnosed in June of 2007 with stage 3.&amp;nbsp; had debulking, chemo and Ip chemo.&amp;nbsp; Lasted 3 days shy of a year, and it came back.&amp;nbsp; I then had 8 treatments of cisplatin and taxol and that ended in march with a ca125 of 9.&amp;nbsp; It is so wonderful to be chemo free for even a few months, of course im praying for a LOT more than that!&amp;nbsp; My oncologist gave me 2 to&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;3 years, but im being positive that something will come up to help us all and prove her wrong:)&amp;nbsp; My prayers to all of you and i look forward to future support and sharing with you all!&amp;nbsp; thanks for listening!&amp;nbsp;Karen in ChicagoHi Karen,&amp;nbsp; I agree with Diane.&amp;nbsp; Don&amp;#39;t listen to your Dr. about the survival rate.&amp;nbsp; I was DX in &amp;#39;06, had surgery,chemo, the works, off chemo 1 year, now back on Gemzar/Carbo for ever in order to keep the beast from moving into vital organs.&amp;nbsp; I also have a returned breast cancer which may be some of the reason for continuing chemo in spite of my low cancer markers.&amp;nbsp; She seems more concerned about the BCA than the Peritoneal.&amp;nbsp; Anyway, they have stretched my chemo out to every 3 weeks and I have a life now and am enjoying every minute of it.&amp;nbsp; I excersice (pilates) when I can and walk a mile/day when I feel well.&amp;nbsp; Eat a healthy diet and pray for the best - that&amp;#39;s about all we can do.&amp;nbsp; Keep healthy, stay fit, and keep fighting. Everyone s different. I was dx&amp;#39;d over 5 years ago with stageIV and they gave me 2 years max. I am still here although I have been on chem 4 of the 5 years and 9 months of tamoxifen. I feel pretty good though&amp;nbsp; considering. Just hang in there and keep fighting this beast!!!!!Diane T</description>
