If the information in your post is all there is and accurate RUN to ANOTHER ONCOLOGEST who knows something about RCC. Where are you located?thanks,but this was a case of late detection,and the drug administered first WAS sutent!Apparantly,the mass of the kidney was so large that(i quote,that removing it would be a huge insult to the body)at the same time radiation was also ruled out!At this time,the kid. is stable,but only the mets in the lung are being irradiated(apparantly it is a 21 day schedule)My parent is loosing weight,but is still very much locomotive,but with a pain in the leg.He has gone thru all the other adjunct add on's.So,if You follow me,afinitor was not even considered,bcoz THE RCC,at this time,is stable.These mets in the lung(which app follow RCC),do they at all respond to LPGA therapy?Educate me Please.I am located in Plano,Tx. ajaxla Mon, 06 Jul 2009 00:00:00 GMT Traditional radiation does not work on RCC, however sterotactic radiation does.Do not do traditional radiation as it will limit your options doesn the road.
