Does anyone have recent experience w/drug TARCEVA for colon cancer maintenance treatment? Our dad is being prescribed 6 mos. of it after two clean scans and continuously normal CEA range for the last 4 months. Doc wants him on this drug for prevention and we feel it is a worthwhile endeavor. Just curious as to the side effects. We were told they are much like the Erbitux one (rash mostly), which for our dad was actually not that bad. Any thoughts out there? Successes? We are officially in remission and hope to stay there. Fingers crossed and awaiting any input from wiser people who have gone before. . .
