I just had my 18 month follow up after radical surgery.

My PSA 6 months after surgery was 0.01

12 months later it went up to 0.04.

 Surgeon says not to worry

John,

Sorry to hear your PSA going up.  What was your Gleason score?  What was your pathologic stage?  If the cancer escaped the prostate and you had no secondary treatment after surgery, I would be concerned. Your PSA is still considered undectable, but once it passes .05, it isn't. If you're not sure about your Gleason score or pathologic stage, by all means, contact your urologist to get a copy of your file.  It's best to get copies of any procedures.
