Dittos to what Cam and Rick said. I had my treatment (rads, chemo, modified radical neck dissection) at Hopkins. The doctors there are phenomenal, and they've done major research into these cancers. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't go anywhere else. --Jim

I just completed tx. for SCC Tongue stage 4A T2. My advise to you is to collect ALL of your records and go to a major center like Johns Hopkins, or MD Anderson. It sounds to me like your doctors are throwing in the towell.....and with only 20-25% of the tumor remaining, surgery may be the logical choice. But finding the right surgeon..is critical. I had my treatment at Hopkins. The staff at Hopkins was outstanding!!
