RE: leep unclear margins severe dysplasia

Oh and I forgot to mention that all of my paps in years past have come back normal. I have been very religous about my yearly exam since I was 18.

RE: leep unclear margins severe dysplasia

I am going through a similar situation. I am 27, had a high grade dysplasia pap this year, followed with a colposcopy that came back indeterminate grade, and just had a cold knife cone biopsy two weeks ago. I just got back from my post op and the results from the biopsy came back negative for invasive carcinoma but that I have carcinoma in-situ beyond the reach of the biopsy. My doctor and a specialist said I have two options. 1. have another conization done or 2. be more conservative and have a colposcopy every 3 months to monitor the growth. I do not have children but greatly want to in the future. Because of the aggresive growth of the dysplasia is it safe to go with the conservative route and just monitor it? I am worried about them taking additional cervix samples and financially another surgery right now would be very hard on me.If anyone can help answer Erin_2218 or my concerns I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks

leep unclear margins severe dysplasia

hi i am new here...and very scaredmy name is erin and i am 22 years old and a college student. i have always kept up with my paps and when i was 20 i was told that i had hi risk hpv and mild dysplasia. My next few paps (every 6months) showed up mild dysplasia...and my most recent pap-bio-colpo showed up mild to moderate dysplasia. My doc scheduled me for a leep procedure...and i went through with it. my results came back that i had moderate to severe dysplasia with unclear margins. my doc also said that she thinks that she removed or killed (by cauterizing ) all of the bad cells but to make sure i have to come back in three months. now here are some questions?since i always go for my regular paps...how did my doc let my dysplasia get to severe? and why did my bio-colpo say i had mild moderate?has anyone had a situatin with their leep not removing everything? did the cauterization get rid of it? what is the next step?im so scared and young...anyone with advice/similar experiences plz sharei really dont want to die : (
