I wish I could use a cat as an excuse for my typos!

Thanks Steve.  But my son and husband want a dog.  Not just any dog ... they want a big dog!  I don't know what they'd do with a cat.  Oh well, I'll just say my typos are there because I'm faster than my computer.  I don't think that will fly though.

If you have enough cats they will equal a dog, pound for pound! My cat is not always to blame but she makes a good scapegoat.

Good Morning Rose;

I joined this site when my husband had colo-rectal cancer. He died 8/24/07.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

Now I've been told by a doctor at Cleveland Clinic that I may have MM, I went there to have a second opinion on my MRI's and CT scans. He had me get x-rays and blood tests.

You should also have given a 24 hour urine screen (UPEP) and probably have a Bone Marrow Biopsy. (BMB) I closely watch my Monoclonal Proteins (M-spike or SPEP).

What do you folks think of a doctor like that?

What matters is the fit between YOU and your doctor. It appears to me as if you may not be comfortable with this person's bedside manner. Find another one! As I've said many times before: "What do they call the guy who graduates LAST in his medical class?"

Also I am totally confused by the acronyms used on here.

I listed three above, but you really don't want this sort of treatment, do you?

Is there anywhere I can look up the meanings?

The post Doug offered you is OUTSTANDING! Beyond that, pour yourself a nice red wine and read the archives. They are a wealth of knowledge.

Welcome to the family. You're only a stranger here once! Hope to hear back from you after that glass of red wine.

Take care;

Kevin

Kevin,

I see you go by K.C., do you by any chance live in Kansas City? I was diagnosed with MGUS last Fall and I'm not entirely happy with my onc/hematologist. I can't seem to find a webpage with recommendations. If you live in Kansas City who do you go to?

Thanks,

CeCe

Good Morning Steve;

That is not an acronym!

Maybe I'm becoming warped, but that was the funniest comment I've read in a long time.

Take care;

Kevin

Feed it to the dog! I hear they taste like chicken.

No, Northeastern PA.

I can't seem to find a webpage with recommendations.

Perhaps this site will be of help:

That's very funny.  I could use the neuropathy in my hands as a scapegoat.

Kevin,

They probably do taste like chicken!  Every other wierd thing people eat tastes like chicken.

You and Steve are funny guys.  My husband (Frank) thinks so also.  He doesn't read our posts, but when I'm laughing out loud, I tell him what it's about.  We would all have a good time at a party.

When we all celebrate the cure for MM, it will be one hell of a party!

Take care,

Lois
